Basic usage and layout
CloudXper Layout
When you enter CloudXper, we will guide you through the basic UI layout and the functions of each submenu.
1. Initial screen layout
CloudXper logo - Takes you back to the home screen (dashboard)
Main Menu Selection Button - The menu displayed may vary depending on the permissions held by each user (more details to follow)
Personal information processing policy inquiry button - You can view the personal information processing policy.
Chatbot Button - Click to turn the chatbot on and off. (Use this to turn the chatbot back on after you turned it off by clicking the X button.)
View CSP News button - You can view news collected from RSS feeds provided by the three CSP companies (updates on each CSP company's main products, important issues, etc.)
Contact Us (Go to TSC Portal) Button - You can register inquiries related to CloudXper

Language selection button - You can choose between Korean and English language.

User information/authority management button - You can set personal information and password/MFA of logged-in users, and apply for/check cloud authority/roles, etc.
Account selection button - You can view a list of accounts owned by the logged-in user and specify default values for the accounts to be viewed in each submenu.

2. Basic menu layout
The basic service menus available to users are as shown in the photo above.
For users with administrator rights (master rights) or cost manager rights (BD rights), additional menus are displayed.
When you enter a specific submenu, a blue line is added as shown below to help you easily identify the current category menu location.
3. Simple guide to the basic menu

Cost Analysis | Cost Dashboard | It provides the ability to check monthly cost trends, daily cost trends, monthly/daily product-by-product spending comparisons, daily product-by-product cost comparisons, and daily detailed increases/decrease history by Product ID (Resource ID). |
Cost Analysis | After checking the trend and status of monthly and daily costs through the cost dashboard, if cost analysis is required for the desired period and with various search conditions, the user can select by CSP, company, service, or account unit through the cost analysis screen to perform cost analysis and cost comparison, etc. in more detail than the dashboard. | |
Cost Report | To analyze costs incurred in a cloud account, you can analyze the total cost for the period or monthly cost by usage type or tag. | |
Tag cost inquiry | You can view the increase/decrease history for the key value of AWS billing standard tags for each cloud account for the past 6 months. | |
Cost Analysis(Detail ) | Provides the ability to download detailed cost data incurred per cloud account in the form of Raw Data. | |
Budget Management | It helps you monitor your cloud resource usage and manage your budget, allowing you to see how much you've spent compared to your budget. | |
Cost Anomaly detection | We provide integrated cost anomaly detection details for CSP 3 based on our own AI model in the form of a status board (number of detections, excess cost, incurred cost, difference from previous month) | |
Optimization | Optimization Dashboard | This is a summary dashboard for recommendations of appropriate specifications, CSP and LG CNS recommended services, and reservation purchase information for optimization from a FinOps perspective. |
Recommended specs | Based on resource usage for servers and databases, you can check the detection target query and basis information (monitoring data) for specification adjustment (RightSizing) and information on expected cost savings when adjusting specifications. | |
Recommendations and Optimization | You can check the detected resources and detailed basis for five areas (cost, security, performance, redundancy, and service restrictions) through the recommendation service provided by CSP (ex: AWS Trusted Advisor) and LG CNS's recommendation service (Cloud Advisor). | |
Reservation Purchase Management | You can check detailed information such as coverage, usage, and savings through contract purchase for reservations and contract purchases. | |
Power Schedule Management | This service provides status and cost savings for power schedules configured based on AWS Instance Scheduler. | |
Inventory | Inventory Dashboard | It provides a full list and shortcuts to the inventory (resources) created in a multi-cloud environment such as servers and databases, and an integrated search function for major resources (IP, Tag, Name search, etc.). |
Inventory Report | You can view monthly or daily increase/decrease trend reports for your inventory (resources). | |
Change Management | It collects the status at the time of change of cloud resources and provides functions for comparing changes and tracking/managing changes. | |
Topology | Based on AWS resources, you can search in the form of a topology map connected from Route53 (domain) > ELB > Target Group > EC2. | |
Management | Health Dashboard | You can check information about issues, changes, and announcements that occurred in AWS PHD (Personal Health Dashboard) and Azure Service Health. |
Backup Monitoring | You can automatically monitor whether resources that require backup (servers, databases, storage, etc.) are backed up. | |
Compliance | By linking with AWS Config, an AWS compliance service, you can monitor compliance trends and detailed compliance status by resource and rule. | |
Operational Standards Management | Operators can set cloud standard rules, such as resource creation in unused regions and non-compliance with instance types, and perform rule evaluations when creating/changing resources. Non-compliant items can be checked through the recommendation and optimization menu or inventory notifications. | |
