Budget Management

  • CloudXper allows users to enter a monthly budget in advance and manage cloud costs based on that budget.

  • When updating cost information, the "Cost Report" screen is updated first, and the "Budget Management" screen is also updated sequentially within about 2 hours. 
    If your account moves to a new company or service, renewal time may take up to 1 day.

1. Budget Overview

1.1 Budget Registration

In the menu, go to ‘Cost Analysis' > 'Budget Management’ by clicking on the menu.

Click the ‘Create new budget’ button at the bottom of the screen to open the creation screen.

Budget Name: Enter a name for the budget.

Period: Enter the period for which the budget will be applied. 

Set Currency : Select the default currency in which costs will be displayed.

Detailed Description: Enter a description of the budget.

Select a company : Select the company to apply the budget to.

Select Service/Account : Select the service or account to apply the budget to. 

  • Set budget to all cloud accounts of selected company: All services of the company are selected. It is automatically added when adding a service.

  Next: Go to step 2 of registration.

 Recent Budget Trends: Shows the incurred costs for the current month and the past 3 months, as well as the predicted cost trends for the next 3 months. You can refer to this when entering the budget amount.

 Enter the amount in bulk: The amount is entered in the currency selected in step 1 of creation. If you register the same budget for each month, enter the amount and click 'Enter Bulk' to apply it to all months.  

 budget amount : Enter the monthly budget amount for the period selected in step 1 of creation.

 backwards : Click to move to step 1 of creation.

 Save: Save the entered value.

  Save only: Register the budget without setting notifications.

  Move notification after saving: After saving the budget information, go to Management > Notification reception settings screen.

1.2 Budgets

1.2.1 Detailed description of budget status and cumulative utilization

  Budget status: Classified into three statuses by comparing the current date and time with the budget period.

  Cumulative usage rate: Classified into three states by comparing monthly incurred costs and budget amount.

  Name: The name of the budget information.

  Status: Compares the current date and time with the budget period.

  Budget month : This is the month based on the inquiry and can be changed by clicking the left and right arrows.

  Budget amount : Budget amount entered in the budget month. The amount is displayed in the currency set when registering the budget.

  Budget Monthly Cumulative Cost : Cumulative amount incurred in the budget month. 

  Budget monthly cumulative usage rate: The ratio of incurred costs to the budget amount. 

  Budget Month Cumulative Estimated Costs: These are the costs expected to be incurred in the budget month. 

  Budget Monthly Cumulative Expected Utilization: The ratio of the predicted costs that will occur to the budget amount.

  Action button: This button allows you to edit or delete the budget.

  • Edit: A window for editing the budget opens.

  • Delete: The budget deletion confirmation window opens.

2. Budget details

  You can move to the ‘Budget Details’ screen by clicking the ‘Budget Details’ tab.

  You can move to the ‘Budget Details’ screen by clicking the budget name in the budget list.

 View budget group details: You can select the registered budget using the select box.

 Currency: The default setting is the currency selected when registering the budget, and you can change it to view costs.

 Budget basic information: Basic information of the budget, such as the budget name, is displayed.

  View service and cloud account details : View the list of accounts corresponding to the company/service/account selected when registering the budget.

 Monthly cost status and budget utilization forecast: View budget usage status and predicted costs for the selected month.

  Monthly History: View monthly expenses and budget incurred during the period set in the budget in a chart. Accrued and expected costs are shown as bar graphs and budgeted amounts are shown as lines.

  View items : CSP/COMPANY/SERVICE/ACCOUNT Search costs by search category.

  Cost table: Displays the searched costs in a table.

2.1.4 Daily Cost - Budget View

Daily cost-budget chart: Outputs incurred costs, budget, and expected costs by day. You can change the ‘view month’ using the left/right arrows. Starting from D-1, the estimated cost is displayed.
     Costs are based on the Y-axis on the left, and budget and cumulative cost totals are based on the Y-axis on the right.

Budget: The budget entered for the month viewed is displayed in a straight line. (Based on right Y axis)

Cumulative cost total: From the 1st of the inquiry month until before D-1, the accumulated amount of 'actual cost incurred' and 'expected cost' from D-1 are displayed as a line, and the accumulated estimated cost is displayed as a dotted line (right). (based on Y axis)
