A user guide for identifying PowerSchedule target/non-target resources.
Through this guide, you can automatically identify power schedule targets by checking the pattern for TAG for target and non-target schedules for each client and registering it in the options.
1. Account or company settings to use the Power Schedule Management Service
→ After logging in to CloudXper, select “Select Account” in the upper right corner.
→ Search for and select the account or company you want to use.
→ Check the power schedule status to see the percentage of resources currently determined as “Unidentifiable”.
→ If it is not close to 100%, it means that the power schedule target/non-target identification is not smooth. "Query Settings Options" Select .
2. Modify Power Schedule Lookup Options
→ This is the power schedule inquiry option setting window.
→ The above settings window performs the following roles:
Identify schedule targets/non-schedule targets via tag key & tag value.
The value set in the schedule tag value is Case insensitive , If the tag value contains that character Recognizes as a target.
→ In general, it is possible to identify schedule targets/non-targets with just the patterns provided by default, but if the identification rate is low, it is necessary to modify the options according to the procedure presented below.
→ When you select the "Add Filter Tag" button, a row will be added where you can enter the "Tag Key & Value", which is marked with a red border.
→ Enter the tag value or value included in the value that distinguishes the target/non-target of the schedule used in EC2/RDS of the account you manage and select the "Enter" button.
→ Even in cases where the schedule is not applicable, input is possible in the same way as above.
→ After entering, click on the upper right corner Select the button to save.
→ Check the saved rules (red border) and if the set values are correct, click the "Apply" button to apply the new options.
3. conclusion
→ EC2/RDS that includes Schedule in the MyCustomTag tag key are identified as schedule targets by the newly saved option, and EC2/RDS that includes UnSchedule in the MyCustomTag tag key are identified as non-schedule targets.
