⭐⭐⭐ Check the savings details by period

This is a user guide for checking period-by-period resource savings through the Power Schedule Management Service.

This guide will teach you how to perform the following list of tasks for a desired time period on resources with Power Schedules set:

  • Cost savings through power scheduling

  • Cost (parameter) that would have been charged if operating for 24 hours

  • Number of resources to which a schedule is applied

  • Download RawData Excel used in the chart

1. Check the trend of savings amount by period

→ You can set the desired information by section through the inquiry period / target / resource settings.

  • Search Period: Set the period you want to search (can be set daily)

  • Target

    • All Targets: Compare by setting the target of "Cost per 24 hours" to "All" (all EC2/RDS resources belonging to the account).

    • Schedule target only: Set the target of "Cost for 24-hour operation" to "Schedule target only" (the classification result through the option is "Success" / "Failure" / "Needs application") to compare charts.

    • EC2/RDS individual settings possible

  • Item Description

    • Cost when operating for 24 hours → Cost when using the resource without turning it off based on ListPrice (cost price) (price when power schedule is not applied)

    • Actual savings amount → Cost saved due to application of power schedule (% next to it means the percentage saved based on the 24-hour operation cost above)

    • Schedule applied count: This refers to the number of resources to which a schedule is applied on that date.

 

2. Download RawData Excel used in the chart

→ If you click “Download Details” at the top right, you can download the RawData used to create the chart in Excel format.

→ Through the power schedule management service, you can check cost-related data for the desired period in chart format, and receive the Raw Data used for this in Excel format.
