CSP News: What's New with Cloud

Cloud service providers are constantly adding new capabilities so you can leverage the latest technologies to experiment and innovate more quickly. These new capabilities are published when new services, features, and region expansion announcements are released. "What's New with Cloud" is a Gen-AI recommendation service that analyzes the correlation between your cloud resource information and the new features to insight you quickly check the latest news and avoid missing important information.

1. New Cloud News Alerts

New News Alerts

Through the alert on the top of the service portal, users can quickly check "New Cloud News" classified into Important, General, and Reference categories. Categorize user cloud resources and their associations as follows.

  • Important : An important alert is raised when active review is required.

  • General: Some, but general notifications will be raised if they are helpful for review.

  • Referable notices : This is where there is no direct significant correlation.

You can search and check cloud news in detail by selecting "View All News" at the bottom of the notification pop-up.

2. Cloud News Search

The new cloud news search allows you to apply various search filters to view detailed cloud news content and AI recommended.

image-20241127-153728.png You can choose a cloud category to search for all or only news related to the chosen cloud.

image-20241127-154114.png The default search period is the latest 1 week. You can also search for news that published a long time ago by choosing 1 month or 3 months.

On initial access to the menu, 1 week is the default lookup period.
Lookup period includes today, and selecting 'N month(s)' deducts the number 'N' from month of today's date.
i.e., 1 Month before 06-09-2025: 05-09-2025
3 Months before 06-09-2025: 03-09-2025

image-20241127-154151.png image-20241127-154405.png You can search cloud news by analyzing the relevance of user cloud resources through AI and categorizing them into important, general, referable notices and EOS(End of Support) categories. You can easily check the number of news publishes included in each category and the cloud accounts affected.

Counts in 'All notices' are not a sum of 'Importance/General/Referable notices', but unique counts of all news and accounts.
If recommendation results from a single news are distributed across multiple priorities, the news may appear duplicative across multiple priorities.

By clicking ‘Subscription’ button, you can receive emails on resource optimization recommendation results with regard to CSP news and EOS(End of Support) notifications.

For AWS EOS news, ‘Resolved' percentage for resources in accounts that are related to the news by their status - ‘Pending’ or ‘Resolved’

How do we calculate

  • Suppose two cloud accounts 1 & 2 are relevant to EOS news X.

    • Account 1 : 1 out of 3 resources is resolved => (Resolved) = 1/3 = 33%

    • Account 2 : 1 out of 6 resources is resolved => (Resolved) = 1/6 = 17%

    • News X : (Resolved) = (Number of all ‘resolved’ resources in all related cloud accounts)/(Number of all resources in all related cloud accounts) = (1+1)/(3+6) = 2/9 = 22%

image-20241127-154114.png You can analyze the correlation with your user cloud resources to see a detailed view of the results recommended by AI or EOS notifications. In case of EOS news, texts can be displayed in language other than that of what user selected on CloudXper portal, depending on the language CSP published in.

Recommended Results User Feedback

  • The platform utilize user feedback to continuously improve recommendations.

image-20241127-154151.png Along with the recommendation results, AI also refers a summary of cloud news. If you want to check the original text of the cloud news, you can go to the original link and see. (In case of EOS notifications, only the URL to original full text is provided.)

image-20241127-154258.png Refer categories such as new services and service expansions to support quick review, and extracts important keywords from news text and provides them to users.

E-Mail Subscription : The followings are sent to subscribed users via e-mail.

  • Newsfeed-based optimization recommendations (May 2025 -)

  • EOS (End of Support) Notifications (June 2025 -)

    • Currently supports AWS and Azure only.

    • We recommend you contact AWS/Azure technical support when further support or detailed guideline is needed with regard to EOS.

By clicking the link, you will be redirected to the news page. Check out the detailed contents there.

You can quickly grasp the gist of the content by going through the main keywords of the news content.

Other than new or updated news, EOS(End of Support) notifications are also sent.
