What is CloudXper AI Detector?

CloudXper AI Detector is an AI-based automatic archer detection service that automatically processes whether to apply power reach by analyzing battery usage patterns (ON/OFF) for the past three weeks.

1. Automatic detection method

(1) Automatic detection is performed based on CPU usage records for the past 3 weeks.
(※ At least 3 weeks of data is required for automatic detection.)

(2) Servers with an on time ratio of less than 10% or an off time ratio of less than 10% for 3 weeks are judged to have not been properly applied to the schedule and are excluded from detection.

(3) If there is even one week with a similarity of less than 80% during the 3 weeks, it is excluded from detection.
(※ Similarity means the ratio of times when the power ON/OFF pattern matches between the two weeks.)

(4) Compare the two most similar weeks among the three weeks, and then determine the time when the power schedule is applied based on the most recent week's on time zone.

(5) The automatic detection results are updated every Monday.

(6) Schedules mapped to AWS Instance Scheduler or CloudXper Schedule Mapper take precedence over automatic detection schedules.

2. How to check automatic detection results

  • Resources whose schedules are automatically detected are displayed as 'Auto-detected' in the Scheduler column of the Resource Detail Inquiry table.

  • The name of the auto-detected schedule is given in the format of 'auto-' + 8-digit random string.

  • If the auto-detected schedule times are the same, the same schedule name is given and can be grouped.

  • You can check the list of auto-detected resources by selecting only 'Auto-detected' from the Scheduler item in the filter at the top of the dashboard.

  • You can check the list of auto-detected schedules through the items in the Schedule List table where the scheduler is marked as 'Auto-detected'.

The image above is an example of a schedule automatically detected by CloudXper AI Detector.
Without the user having to configure anything separately, CloudXper analyzes the ON/OFF patterns of GCP VM servers, detected a pattern that operates between 09:00 and 23:00 from Monday to Friday, and maps the schedule setting information based on this to the corresponding resource.

3. What to do when a false detection occurs

  • The automatic detection feature sometimes incorrectly detects non-existent schedules.
(※ Automatically detected schedules cannot be directly modified or deleted.)

  • False detection measures [Resources that are not scheduled]: If the resource is not a schedule target, please exclude it from the schedule target through exception processing.

  • False detection measures [Resources that are scheduled]: If the resource is a schedule target, please directly map the correct schedule through CloudXper Schedule Mapper.

  • Option to disable auto-detection: Auto-detection can be disabled for all resources on an account basis. (※ Auto-detection cannot be disabled for individual resources.)

The CloudXper AI Detector feature helps you systematically manage previously unrecognized scheduling resources, helping you operate power schedules more precisely and efficiently.
