Basic cost overage detection
2023-06 We will introduce the newly launched CloudXper cost abnormality detection alarm and explain how to disable it for those who do not wish to receive cost abnormality detection alarm emails.
1. Introduction to basic cost overage detection notification
You can set up separate cost alarms in CloudXper (Set up CloudXper Cloud Cost Alarms)
If you do not set up a separate setting, you can prevent the discovery of a sudden increase in costs.
We have launched the 'Cost Anomaly Detection Notification' feature, which sends an email when the cost of an account (AWS: linked account / Azure: subscription / GCP: project) with authority within CloudXper suddenly increases under the following conditions.
1-1. Criteria for sending cost overage detection notifications
Accounts with at least one of D-3 and D-4 within CloudXper worth over 100,000 won are included in the basic
If at least one of D-3 and D-4 is over 100,000 won and under 1 million won and has increased by more than 300%
If at least one of D-3 and D-4 is 1 million won or more but less than 10 million won and has increased by 180% or more
If at least one of D-3 and D-4 is 10 million won or more but less than 100 million won and has increased by 100% or more
If at least one of D-3 and D-4 exceeds KRW 100 million and increases by more than 40%
1-2. Notification recipients
If a cost that reaches the above criteria occurs in an account (AWS: linked account / Azure: subscription / GCP: project) that has authority among CloudXper IDs,
Send email to the account owner
(ex. If CloudXper's ewshin account has permission to AWS 111,222,333 linked accounts,
When a cost overage notification that meets the above criteria occurs in the 111 linked account,
Send notification to ewshin’s email)
